That was the moment I knew: this was something I needed to lean into.
Bringing That Feeling to Others
Soon after, when I began teaching in corporate spaces, I carried that memory with me.
I knew what it was like to feel stressed, burnt out, and searching for answers. And I knew how powerful it was to walk into a room, move your body, connect with your breath, and walk out feeling completely different.
So when employees step into my classes — carrying deadlines, pressure, and worries — I ask them to leave it all at the door.
And as they lie on the floor in meditation at the end, I often remember my own first moment of peace. Because I can see it across their faces — that same calm, that same lightness, that same sense of something bigger than themselves.
Relationships will always be part of life’s learning. But the most important one — is the relationship we have with ourselves.
For me, yoga was the gateway to that discovery. And now, it’s the gift I get to share with others — in studios, retreats, and corporate spaces alike.
Because when you connect to yourself on the mat, you carry that peace back into every other part of your life.
I often walk into a large tec company feeling stressed and float out myself after teaching a class. I am truly grateful for my career path.
